How do I hold my wedding date?
First, please contact me, email@example.com or use my contact form on this website. and make sure I have your date available. I like to meet each couple in person and make sure we are a good fit for each other. Choosing your photographer is just as important as your photographer choosing you. I know what personalities and styles work best with me, just like you know what works best for you. I’d love to treat you to a coffee or tea and chat about your wedding! To hold your date, a $500 non-refundable deposit is required. This amount is only refundable if there is a medical emergency with documentation – so please only set your deposit if you’re excited to be partnered with me.
Do I need to sign a contract?
Yes. My contracts are simple and concise. You don’t want your photographer backing out with a few weeks to go, and I turn down all other weddings once you’ve put down your deposit. And, I don’t take more than 15 weddings a year (that I may provide you with exceptional photos and service). We sign a contract that locks us together (bride + groom + photographer). Family shoots require a contract if booked over two months in advance (or from November through the New Year) and a $75 non-refundable deposit must accompany the contract.
What payment methods does Simply Sonja Photography take?
At this time I only take cash and checks. This keeps my costs low so that I don’t have to implement a 2.9% fee for credit cards.
